How to Get Stickers Off a Car Safely

  • Carefully clean all dirt and debris from the sticker and surrounding area.
  • Blow hot air on the sticker starting from the middle and working outward to the edges.
  • Pry a corner of the sticker up with a credit card and scrape the sticker off. Do not use a razor blade to do this!
  • How to remove sticker residue from the car: Spray some adhesive remover like Goo Gone or rubbing alcohol (or even sap remover) on a rag and scrub off the residue. 

How to Get Stickers Off of a Car Window

Removing stickers from glass is a little easier, though you still want to be careful so as not to scratch the window. Follow these steps on how to remove sticker residue from car windows:

  • Apply rubbing alcohol, window cleaner, or Goo Gone to the sticker and the surrounding glass.
  • Let whichever substance you used, let it sit on the sticker for a few minutes.
  • Scrape the sticker off with a razor blade or X-Acto knife.
  • When struggling with how to remove sticker residue from the car window or windshield, any remaining residue can be removed by applying WD-40 or Goo Gone and scraping it off.
